Spring 2017 Semester Report

This spring semester has begun with many great accomplishments and opportunities for Phi Delta Theta Michigan Beta. With our young and driven executive board, we are excited to see what the future holds for us.

Michigan Beta Motivated in IM’s

This year we have stepped up our expectations in our IM Hockey league. With back to back Frozen Four appearances, we are ready to put an end to our early exits and bring home a championship. We are also ready to make some noise in our IM Soccer playoffs. This is our first year fielding a team, but we are loaded with young players, and we have high hopes for the future.

All Eyes on Recruitment

This past fall we initiated 13 new members, and we recruited another group of fine men this spring, bringing our new member total to 22 men. In order to maintain recruitment efforts, our newly elected executive board put together a “Phi Delt 2020” recruitment plan that sets our sights on 100 brothers by the end of 2020. In order to do this, it will be all hands on deck, but with such a young and energized chapter, we have no doubt that this goal will be accomplished.

Academics Remain a Priority

With our continued growth, we have not lost our sense of sound learning. This past fall, we yet again boasted a top 10 GPA within the IFC. Since chartering in 2013, we have not fallen below this clip, and we do not expect such a case to happen.

Michigan Beta Goes Online

Over the course of the past few months, a few brothers have worked to build a new and better website. The website now allows for alumni to update their current contact information, but more importantly, it allows friends, family, and alumni to stay in touch with the current events at Michigan Beta. We are incredibly thankful for our alumni, and as always, if you are ever in town, feel free to swing by 626, the door is always open!

Yours in the Bond,

Colin Green
